 Perdido Key

 

Saturday, May 17, 2008

8 am - 1 pm

Perdido Bay Community Center

 (Innerarity Point Road)

Call the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce at (850) 492-4660 to sign up.

Volunteers will meet at the Perdido Bay Community Center

on Innerarity Point Road at 8 am on May 17. 

The Community Center will provide breakfast to all participants

and a bus to take everyone to their designated areas. 

Participants will be provided with maps, bags, water,

and other items as donated to help with the clean-up. 

 

At the conclusion of the clean up all teams are invited back to

The Villagio shopping plaza for live entertainment, drinks, and lunch.

 

Please contact The Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce if you or your company is willing to donate your efforts in this important event. 

Community Clean Sweep Trash Drives and Community Meetings Scheduled in April & May

 A total of 48 Escambia County neighborhoods have coordinated community clean up activities as part of the countywide campaign called "Team Up to Clean Up".  These neighborhoods have collected more than 3,910.04 tons of debris and household hazardous waste.

 

The next group of residents to participate in this program are as follows:

  • Beach Haven Community Meeting
    Warrington Assembly of God Church (901 Wayne Avenue)
    Tuesday, April 29, 6 p.m.    
  • Community “Clean Sweep” Trash Drive
    Wednesday, May 7
    7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Beach Haven and Patton Drive Community Meeting
    Marie Ella Davis Community Center (16 Raymond Street)
    Tuesday, May 6 p.m.           
  • Community “Clean Sweep” Trash Drive
    Wednesday, May 14, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Residents in these areas are asked to clean their homes and separate debris before placing it on the right of way.  Old appliances, tires, yard and construction debris, and furniture and other miscellaneous items should all be placed in separate piles.
