Fire Rescue

Escambia County Fire-Rescue proudly operates as a combination fire service, utilizing the talents and diversities of volunteer and career fire fighting personnel. Career firefighters operate eight (8) engine companies throughout Escambia County. Three (3) of the companies are manned 24/7 and five (5) operate Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Fire fighting and other emergency services are provided by an all volunteer force during any other time.

Escambia County's firefighters respond from eighteen (18) main fire stations and several substations strategically located throughout the County. Our personnel maintain and operate more than one hundred (100) pieces of fire fighting apparatus, staff vehicles, and special response units. Pumpers, ladder trucks, water tankers, rescue trucks, air supply units, brush trucks, boats, and wave runners are all part of the required arsenal needed to provide the wide variety of services needed by Escambia County's residents and businesses.
