Façade, Landscape and Infrastructure Grant
Program
Provides
a $10,000 matching grant to commercial property owners
to assist with projects that upgrade the appearance,
property values, and economic activity mainly on commercial
corridors within Escambia County's designated redevelopment
areas. The Infrastructure grant is available to property
owners and/or business tenants whose property is located
within a redevelopment area that is zoned R-6 or higher
and is used for commercial or industrial purposes.

Emergency
Tree Trimming
Provides
financial assistance to income-qualifying homeowners
located in the redevelopment areas with the removal
or trimming of damaged, diseased trees or limbs.
The tree or limb must present a danger to a primary
residence or a neighbor's primary residence if it
were to fall.
Enterprise
Zone (EZ)
The
EZ is an area targeted for economic revitalization.
The program offers financial incentives from the state
of Florida to residents and businesses located within
the zone to encourage job creation and private sector
investment.
Neighborhood
Renewal Initiative Grant
To
encourage community and volunteer based redevelopment
efforts, Neighborhood Renewal Initiative Grants are
available to neighborhood organizations within the
redevelopment area and most of the proposed EZ for
projects that will promote community redevelopment.
The organization may apply for up to $5,000
in matching grant funds. Typical projects have
included making upgrades to neighborhood parks and
installing community signs. Financial support
for this program comes from Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
Neighborhood
Watch-Car Repair Reimbursement
Available
to active neighborhood watch groups or neighborhood
association groups. The grant is designed to
help with the cost of automotive repairs to their
neighborhood watch vehicle.
Residential Rehab Grant Program
Provides a $6,000 matching grant to residential property owners of single-family dwellings located within Escambia County’s redevelopment areas zoned for residential use. The program is used to upgrade the property value, and safety of residential properties. Eligible projects include connection to sanitary sewer, electrical rewiring, installing new central Heating and Air Conditioning systems, installing a new roof, installing new storm shutters, and installing new windows. Sign
Grant
Provides
a $2,000 matching grant to replace, rehabilitate,
or install new free standing or wall signage.
Eligible properties must be located within a county
designated redevelopment area, zoned R-6 or higher,
and located along a commercial corridor within the
