 Measurement,
Use, and Taxation of Wetland Buffers
The following
position paper and policy and procedure manual are
posted to allow individuals and organizations an opportunity
to present their comments regarding Escambia County's
Wetland Ordinance 2003-9.
The position
paper addresses the following questions:
Question 1: From what points is the buffer width measured
and what width is appropriate?
Question
2: What uses are acceptable within the buffer?
Question
3: What are the property tax and appraisal implications
of the buffers? Who owns the buffer areas?
The questions are addressed individually along with
staff positions. You may express your opinions on this
