Solid Waste Management Permits & Franchises Agreements

Who Needs a Solid Waste Management Permit or Franchise Agreement?

The Escambia County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 82, Section 82-101(a) states that:

“All solid waste generated or otherwise found within the county shall be managed by persons holding valid permits for such activity, granted in accordance with this chapter, except as provided in this section…”

Therefore, businesses that wish to engage in collection, transportation, and disposal of waste or debris must obtain a Solid Waste Management permit prior to commencing operations in Escambia County.
