Wilson Robertson

Commissioner Robertson currently serves as Commissioner for District 1. He served two previous terms on the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners as the representative for District 5, with his first term running from 1988 until 1992. He was re-elected as Commissioner for District 5 in 1996 and served until 2000. He also previously served in the board of the Escambia County Utilities Authority.

Restore Crescent Lake Community Newsletter

The County understands your frustration over the delays of Crescent Lake area repairs. To some residents, it may appear that your neighborhood had been forgotten once the workers finished tirelessly constructing a temporary road to ensure residents could come and go from the neighborhood safely. It was the County’s intent to begin repairs immediately following the last Oak Tree meeting. However, the assessment of the April flood damage identified more than 2,100 other infrastructure breaks, including high-traffic roadways requiring immediate repairs.

Perdido Key Fire Station, Visitor Information and Community Center Ribbon Cutting

In celebration of the new Perdido Key Fire Station, Visitor Information Center and Community Center a ribbon cutting ceremony took place on Wednesday, September 25, 2013.

The facility is located at the site of the previous Perdido Key Fire Station and will house the Escambia County Fire Rescue Station 19, the Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce, and visitor information center and a community center. Offices, meeting space and a helicopter landing pad for EMS and disaster recovery use are also featured at the facility. 

Commissioners Honor Ice Flyers’ Championship

Escambia Commissioners adopted a proclamation during the April 18, regular meeting recognizing the week of April 14 as “Champions Week” in Escambia County in recognition of the owners, coaches, players, staff and fans of Pensacola Ice Flyers. For the first time, in 2013, the team earned the President’s Cup on Sunday, April 14, winning the Southern Professional League Championship. 

District 1 Video Presentation: The Naming of the James C. Robinson Equestrian Center

Escambia County Commissioner Wilson Robertson led the renaming ceremony of the James C. Robinson Escambia County Equestrian Center. During his time in Escambia County, Mr. Robinson helped make equestrian recreation possible for generations of residents. Robinson’s efforts to built a first class equestrian center now attracts visitors from around the country.
