The Human Resources Department is responsible for employment, benefits, employee relations, management, policy, administration, and training for Escambia County employees.

Responible for managing and assisting employees, retirees, and their families in the areas benefits and retirement.  Point of contact for the county's employee compensation and wellness programs along with the employee clinic. 

Employment is responsible for recruitment, job postings, application evaluation, offer letters, pre-employment processing, employee ID badges and administration of Temporary Labor Services Contracts.

The Human Resources Records Section is responsible for employee records, request for employee records, and verification of employment.

The Employee Relations Section provides guidance and assistance to employees in the areas of equal employment, performance management, discipline, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), complaints, grievances, tuition reimbursement, mandatory training, and union matters.
