Local Author Visit: "Painful Lights: a reflection of the turmoil and trauma of living in and surviving a toxic and abusive relationship" by SiddiqJoin us as local author Siddiq presents his work “Painful Light: a reflection of the turmoil and trauma of living in and surviving a toxic and abusive relationship”. Siddiq was born and raised in Washington, DC, but lived most of his adult life in Northwest Florida. As a child and young adult, he wrote poetry and short stories as a hobby. “Painful Light” is his first published book. It is a collection of metaphoric anecdotes written in prose form describing situations that the target finds himself in at the hands of his abuser. An illustration accompanies each piece to present a visual representation of what is happening. The book was written especially for people in an abusive relationship with a malignant narcissist in letting them know that they are not alone and there is life after abuse.
