Custodial Services

Custodial Services has the responsibility of providing in-house custodial staff for the M. C. Blanchard Judicial Building and the Ernie Lee Magaha Governmental Center, as well as managing and overseeing a large custodial service and maintenance contract. The division acts as a quality assurance evaluator and ensures all buildings are clean and presentable each day.

Design & Construction Administration Team

The DCAT Division is staffed by design and construction professionals who work closely with other county departments, agencies and elected officials in the management of renovation and construction projects. DCAT works on projects from conceptual discussions through the budgeting, planning, and design stages and ultimately through construction. The project management ensures that new facilities meet the needs of the using agencies as well as meeting the appropriate standards and requirements for systems, materials and construction.

Maintenance

The Maintenance Division, through preventative maintenance and controlled facilities inspections, keeps the many county facilities that vary in size, age, type of construction and usage in working order. A number of the county’s buildings function as customer-oriented service facilities; however, there are numerous special-purpose facilities, such as the Escambia County Sheriff’s administrative and correctional facilities, fire departments, emergency management sites and community centers.

Real Estate

The Real Estate Acquisition Office assists in obtaining property acquisitions, easements and rights of way for county projects. The office also assists county citizens through the vacation process when they apply to vacate public roads, alleyways, easements or subdivision plats.

Surplus Property

Surplus property consists of both surplus real property and surplus furniture. The County sells its surplus property through various outlets. For more information, email property@myescambia.com.

Throughout each auction, properties can be viewed daily on ECTV.
