The Ensley Redevelopment District was adopted by the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners in 2014 pursuant to resolution number R2014-146. The district covers an area of approximately 3.8 square miles consisting of high density mixed uses and abuts the Oakfield Redevelopment District to the south.

Ensley is served by numerous commercial and retail anchors along the Pensacola Boulevard (US Highway 29), North Palafox Street and East Nine Mile Road (US Highway 90A) corridors and abuts Interstate 10 to the south.

Plans and Related Docs

The Community Redevelopment Agency administers management plans for Escambia County’s designated redevelopment districts pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Act of 1969, F.S. Chapter 163. Due to the district’s new designation during the 2015 fiscal year, the Ensley Redevelopment Plan has not yet been developed. Meeting dates and documents related to the development of the Ensley Redevelopment Plan will be posted to this site as they become available.
