A variety of local and state agencies offer programs which support business and economic development in Escambia County. These programs provide technical and financial resources to assist local businesses and commercial property owners in meeting their business and development goals.

Local Incentive Programs

Economic Development Programs

Escambia County offers a variety of economic development programs through an interlocal agreement with the Greater Pensacola Chamber. Contact the Greater Pensacola Chamber at 850-438-4081 ext. 221 for additional information on these programs.

State Incentive Programs

Enterprise Florida, Inc.

Enterprise Florida, Inc. is a public-private partnership between Florida businesses and state and local governments and serves as the state of Florida’s principal economic development organization. EFI provides technical support for businesses through the following services: state incentive program referral, and application assistance, financing coordination and assistance, permitting and regulatory facilitation assistance, site identification, and community profiling assistance. Florida Department of Economic Opportunity

Florida’s Department of Economic Opportunity provides a variety of business resources including information on current state-sponsored business and workforce incentive programs.

Workforce Programs

CareerSource Escarosa

CareerSource Escarosa is a nonprofit organization and member of the CareerSource Florida network providing no-cost employment and training resources to Escambia County’s employers. CareerSource Florida

CareerSource Florida is a state-sponsored workforce organization providing no-cost employment and training resources to employers within the state of Florida. Services include screening and recruiting candidates, scheduling interviews, managing recruiting events, facilitating access to work ready applicants, accessing local and state labor-market data and proving training grants.
